Internationally celebrated, local favorite Devon Sproule teams up with acclaimed indie folk-pop duo The Sea The Sea for LOVEFEST, a special Valentine’s Day Show. Attendees are encouraged to love the one they’re with and wear red!
Since 2007, Devon Sproule’s recordings have been released by Tin Angel Records, based in Coventry, England. She collaborates regularly with Toronto-based band Bernice and producer Sandro Perri. In Summer 2015, she recorded songs from a new collection, “The Gold String,” in Yukon and Nova Scotia. Besides Canada and America, Sproule also tours regularly in Europe and has traveled with her music to Africa and Australia. "Sproule's lyrics glance off each other arrestingly, juxtaposing images." (Financial Times). "Her quirky affectations bring to mind Bjork, and forays into the dark, Michelle Shocked." (Village Voice)
The Sea The Sea is an Upstate New York based indie folk-pop duo-band featuring what Huffington Post calls, “Two of the loveliest male-female voices you might ever hear this or any other year.” Their 2014 debut release, Love We Are We Love, received praise from NPR, American Songwriter, and No Depression, among others, gathering over 5 million streams on Spotify. The animated video for their song "Waiting" sparked viral interest including Buzzfeed, Pitchfork, and inclusion at the international TED 2015 conference. Mountain Stage host Larry Groce calls them "ready to take their place among the best young male/female duos now performing.” They are currently touring in support of their upcoming February six-song EP release, In the Altogether.
