Since 2002, the United Nations of Comedy Tour has received standing ovations throughout the country. The tour first visited The Paramount Theater in 2011 and has returned by popular demand ever since. This year, five national comedians will share the stage for another star-studded show.
This year’s line-up is sure to tickle everyone’s funny bone, so get ready for a great time!
4 Time Comic View All-Star, Co-Host of a hit radio show, regular onTV One, and feature on Comedy Central, Funnyman Skiba will be the exclusive host of the United Nations of Comedy Tour. Skiba is often feared by other comics as being “too much to follow.” He has shared the stage with some of the biggest comics on the scene including Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle, Cedric the Entertainer, Martin Lawrence many others.
His specialty is real-life comedy at its finest and his life is an open book for the audience. Funnyman Skiba has received standing ovations in all of the major comedy clubs throughout the country and overseas. This will make Skiba’s 11th visit to Charlottesville – back by popular demand.
Veteran comic Jason returns to The Paramount as part of the United Nations of Comedy Tour. Known for his high energy, Jason Anders is an animated showcase of extraordinary talent. This New York comic has appeared on every hot comic list the city has released. This comic has a proven track record as one of the top comedians in the country. Jason has toured the world and made appearances on Comedy Central, Showtime, HBO Bad Boys of Comedy, Comic View, Gotham Comedy Live, and “crushed” some of the toughest comedy clubs in the nation including major clubs such as Caroline’s. As quoted by Backstage,“It’s rare in this age of comedy to walk out of a nightclub and feel like you’ve watched a show. You feel that when you watch Jason Andors perform.”
One of the top comedians coming out of NYC, she has a variety of projects happening, including her own comedy show, The Check Spot, on SiriusXM starting in March. Her First Time podcast – a hilarious show dedicated to women talking openly about their first periods – will return for a second season and feature other talented guests such as MTV’s Carly Aquilino and Awkwafina, Comedy Central’s Kerry Coddett, Sarah Benincasa, and Ashley Fetters fromGQ.
Recently selected to perform at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, she’s also appeared at The Glasgow International Comedy, the SiriusXM South Beach Comedy Festival, and the New York Comedy Festival. Willmann beat out hundreds of comedians to be named one of the “10 Funniest Comics in NYC” in the New York’s Funniest Competition by Caroline’s on Broadway and was named by Time Out NY as one of the “10 Funniest Woman in NYC.” She was also listed as one of the “100 Woman We Love,” by GO Magazine. Emma is a crowd favorite at the Pride Festivals.
Alex is a Latino Brooklyn, New York native and one of the hottest comedians on the scene. Using quick wit & strikingly animated characters, Alex is on the road to become one of the next great comedians of his generation. Alex has been featured on BET’s Season 2 of “Apollo Live” where he survived the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem.
He has also been featured on Popcorn Flix’s uncensored original series, Live @ New York Comedy Club. In 2012, he won at The World Famous Comic Strip Live Lottery Show in front of judges Rich Vos & Bonnie MacFarlane; hosted by Sherrod Small. Alex has also appeared on CBS, Comedy Central, national commercials, and produces a monthly comedy show in New York which was named “Top 10 Comedy Shows” in the borough.
Antoine is a “comic’s comic.” He tours the country regularly sharing the stage with some of today’s top comics including D.L. Hughley, Monique, Kevin Hart, Earthquake, Tony Rock, Bill Bellamy, Tracy Morgan of 30Rock, and more. Antoine has appeared on stage of the United Nations of Comedy Series.
He has appeared on TV One’s and Bill Bellamy’s Who Got Jokes, TV One’s Roland Martin Show and Showtime at the Apollo. Antoine’s comedy is for a wide audience and is hilarious. Real life, real situations.
