Where: Downtown Mall
Tom Tom Founders Festival is week of music, art, and innovation in Charlottesville, VA, April 13-19. The Festival combines real opportunities to launch ventures with ideas, art installations, bands, and parties in one of America’s most beautiful and historic small cities. This year, Tom Tom will feature dozens of events across Charlottesville’s pedestrian mall. Anchored by the daylong Tom Tom Founders Summit headlined by Reddit, the Container Store, Maker Faire, Lockn' Music Festival, and Chromat, the Festival will also include five free block parties, a farm-to-table restaurant week, three free pitch competitions, a mural series, and a Mid-Atlantic art fair.
Friday Night Block Party: One of Tom Tom’s signature events: thousands of people out on a spring night, diverse bands and performances, food trucks ringing Cville’s central park, and a New Belgium craft beer garden throughout it all.
Ben Around Tattoos: Specializing in American Traditional, Asian, and Tribal tattoo styles, Ben Around Tattoos rave reviews have earned them a spot among the top tattoo artists in Central Virginia. Come see an exhibition of their portfolio, Friday, April 17th at the Block Party in Lee Park.
The Galant Challenge: U.Va. students and alumni join investors from across the region for the largest pitch competition at Tom Tom. Over half a million dollars in seed stage investment was offered to new ventures through the program in 2014.
