Downtown Business Association of Charlottesville (DBAC) is an association created, managed, and funded by a group of Downtown's merchants, restaurants, and other interested businesses. The DBAC is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting commerce and events Downtown. Our goal is to raise recognition to the wide variety the area has to offer. Overall, we aim to market and support the Mall and coordinate and plan festivals and holiday events by shaping the Downtown Mall into one cohesive network.

The DBAC shares office space at 108 5th St NE with the Charlottesville Parking Center. It is managed by two co-chairs and run by a Board of Directors. The Board is comprised of about twenty men and women who represent Downtown businesses. DBAC is staffed on a volunteer basis by three pro bono interns working in the fall, winter, and spring and usually one in the summer.
